How operators opt in to text messages

CompuDoc MT — water system alert & operations service (ifix406)
Program: CompuDoc MT Water System Alerts · Effective August 31, 2026

This page documents, in full, every way a person can come to receive text messages from this service. It is published so that the messaging program can be reviewed and verified by carriers, by The Campaign Registry, and by the water systems we serve.

This is a closed program for enrolled water-system operators. There is no public sign-up, and there is no advertising. Messages go only to the named operators of a participating municipal water system — typically two to five people per system. We never send marketing or promotional messages of any kind.

Opt-in path 1 — recorded onboarding call (primary)

A water system's authorized administrator identifies the operators who need alarm coverage and provides each operator's name and mobile number so the service can reach them. That step does not enrol anyone. No text message is sent to a number until the operator personally consents, in their own voice, on a recorded call placed to that number:

This is the CompuDoc water system alert service, calling for [operator name] at the [water system name] water system. This call is being recorded, so that we have a record of your answer. Before we set up your account, I need your permission to contact you. Do you agree to receive alarm phone calls and alarm text messages from CompuDoc MT at this mobile number, [number]? These are alarm notifications for your water plant, sign-in verification codes for the operations console, and occasional notices about your account. We never send marketing or promotional messages. Message frequency varies with water-system activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to any text at any time to stop text messages, or reply HELP for help. Our terms are at mtcomputerdoctor.com/terms.html and our privacy policy is at mtcomputerdoctor.com/privacy.html. Do I have your consent? Please say yes or no.

The operator must answer affirmatively. The call is recorded, and the recording plus the date, time and number are retained as the record of consent for as long as the operator is enrolled. If the operator declines, or does not answer affirmatively, the number is not enrolled and receives no messages. An operator who is never onboarded never receives a text.

Opt-in path 2 — replying START

An operator who has previously replied STOP can resume text messages by replying START to the same number, which is the standard carrier keyword. This path is available only to a number that was already enrolled through path 1 and later opted out. It cannot be used to enrol a new number.

There are no other opt-in paths

There is no web sign-up form, no point-of-sale collection, no paper form, no purchased or rented lists, no lead generation, and no sharing of numbers between water systems. Those are the only two ways a number can come to receive messages from this program.

The disclosures given at the point of consent

CompuDoc MT Water System Alerts. By consenting you agree to receive alarm notifications, operations-console sign-in verification codes, and account notices from CompuDoc MT at the mobile number you provided.

Message frequency varies with water-system activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Consent is not a condition of any purchase. See our Messaging Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.

Stopping messages

Reply STOP to any message to cancel. You will receive one confirmation, after which no further texts are sent. You may also ask your water system's administrator to remove you. Reply HELP, call 406-476-7615, or email alarms@ifix406.com for help.

Opting out of texts does not stop alarm phone calls. Alarm calls are a separate channel managed by your water system's administrator, because a municipal water system's after-hours alarm response cannot depend on SMS. Text messages supplement the alarm calls; they do not replace them.
